“Our national communications committee has worked with Ledden Design iT since mid-Fall 2011. Ledden was responsive to our input, and provided several options for the project design, then modifying the final selection until it was a perfect fit for our needs.

"We were highly satisfied with our partnership with Ledden Design iT and plan to work with them again on future projects.”

The Ledden team was a pleasure to work with, always responsive. The team went above and beyond – in terms of time and testing – to ensure that our expectations would not only be met, but exceeded.

Unification Framework

CPA Canada is the planned merger of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Certified Management Accountants, and Certified General Accountants Association of Canada. We were selected in early November 2011 to design a new unification identity incorporating the top three accounting associations brands into a new distinct campaign. This involved printed Unification Framework brochures and an online English and French website with an open forum component, for January 2012.

Our focus was to demonstrate an appreciation of the delivery requirement and, as time was of the essence, we provided a fairly detailed project plan and created a design for the Unification Framework brochure and website for all three accounting associations. We immediately outlined the existing site’s problems, requirements for phase 1 of the project and assumptions affecting the project’s plan, schedule, and cost.

We prepared the website launch, from concept to implementation, within a five-week period, for December 8, 2011, and delivered Unification brochures, full-colour, in English and French versions in early January, 2012. The website was also successfully launched on time and on budget.

Our efficient working relationship led to an invitation to put together a logo recommendation document. Working together with consultant Tom Argett from S. Chawla & Associates Inc., we reviewed member survey results and reports that helped define the unique value proposition of the unification.

We enjoy a great rapport with the CPA Canada Communications Committee, building a strong track record with them. The trust and confidence we built was ultimately the reason we were invited to design the new CPA Canada logo and brand standard and guidelines.
